WSOP update

It's been a wild ride. Doris goes out 73 and cashes out $5,200. Jim goes into the 3rd day with 354,000 in chips. He wins a couple of pots and then goes card dead. He gets his favorite hand and goes all in with 88. Other guy has AK and flops AK. Jim goes out 21 and the party is on. What a trip, two cashes out of the 12 people we brought. It has been a blast and beat all expectations. Can't wait for next year. Dinner tonight at Voo Doo Steak house compliments of Jim and Dori. What a time we're having. This has been a great trip and it's not over yet. More to come.

WSOP day 3

Well, Jim and Doris are still in. 99 players left and they are guaranteed $4,000 minimum. Gail and I headed to the Orleans for a tournament and Gail chopped the money for $560. Not bad. I'm not having a very good time of it with the poker. This cold has me struggling. Played well for 7 hours in the series but went card dead. Cash games haven't been any better but the cold seems to be letting off some so tomorrow is a new day. Hopefull it will be with Jim and Doris still in at the final two tables.

Well, just busted out 900 of 2700. Had some cards early but went card dead for 3 hours. You just can't do that in a tournament like this. 3 of us are still in, with Doris at $30,000, Jim at $27,000 and Mickey at $6,000. Hoping they make the money cause I have a split of $1,300 right now for the last man standing bet.
It's been a blast, Amarillo slim stopped by and I got some good video him. I'll post it later.

WSOP Event #28 update

We are here. This crazy! Takes us awhile to get here today, my cold is some better but got me down a little. A ceasar salad got the juices going again. We went to registration and bought into the $1,500 NL Holdem event #28. Signed the ESPN releases and all that jazz and then hit the poker room. It was amazing. I've played pros before but this makes you realize what your up against. You name em, we saw em. Humbero the Chark, Jeffery Lisandra, Jenn Harman, Gavin Smith, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negaraneu. Their all here. We have a dinner date tonight with the Plano One Outers group and we are going to collect the money for a last man standing (out of the money) for $100. This should be fun tomorrow. We start at high noon and it's on. Wish us luck.

WSOP 2009 Event #28

Here we are. Our pre scouting party is already in Vegas. 9 more of us to come. Having a pre get together this evening and then headed out in the morning. I gots my Buck Naked shirt and Texasrodbenders.com hat packed and ready to go. It should be a blast. I'll post updates as I can.
